Newport Baptist Church

What We Believe...

  • The Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is the infallible, inerrant Word of God.
  • The integrity of the Bible has been divinely protected through the ages.
  • In the Trinity: One God who reveals Himself as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  • In the deity of Jesus Christ: His virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death on the cross as payment for sin, bodily resurrection, and His ascension to the right hand of God the Father.
  • In the forgiveness of sin only through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ.
  • That salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ - He is the only way to heaven.
  • That salvation cannot be lost.
  • That Jesus Christ established two ordinances for the local church: Believer's Baptism, and The Lord's Supper or Communion.
  • In the Rapture of the church, when Jesus takes all true Believers to be with Him.
  • That Jesus Christ will return.
